Chatting in a less formal context can often be less intimidating and more effective. Brian offers 4-session or 8-session packages that combine individual or couples counselling with a 1-2 hr sea kayak lesson (eligible for Paddle Canada certification).

Brian is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and Supervisor of Supervisors (SoS) with the BCACC and offers clinical supervision and case consultation for clinical counsellors and supervisor.

A relationship-enriching date night where couples enjoy tasty drinks and treats while Brian presents on the habits of master couples that make for strong, satisfying, lasting relationships. Through various fun activities, couples will have the opportunity to begin fostering these habits for themselves.

Healthy Kids - Happy Family: Parenting Workshop

Parenting is the most important, demanding, and rewarding thing we do. It is sometimes hard to understand our kids, ourselves, and what our brains need. Brian offers parenting workshops on practical, research-based parenting strategies that foster strong relationship, self-regulation, and social emotional development.

Sea Kayak Skills Courses

A fun way to "Meet the Therapist"

Paddle Canada certification awarded upon completion of the following courses.

Basic Skills Course 

This course covers Introduction to Kayaking and Capsize & and Re-entry – the skills and water-safety knowledge needed to paddle in protected waters within a group. Participants must bring their own immersion wear (wet suit or dry suit) for the capsize and recovery portion of the course - during which they will be going into the water repeatedly.  

Minors younger than 15 must be accompanied by an adult. (Minimum age: 12.) Signed liability waivers are required for all participants and participating minors also require Parental Consent Waivers. 

Cost: $160

(1-day boat & gear rental: $50

Level 1 Skills Clinic

This clinic covers the skills necessary to safely plan and execute a day trip with friends in *Class 1 Waters. Topics: equipment, navigation, decision making, weather, strokes, bracing, capsizing & re-entry techniques, and more. Participants must bring their own immersion wear (wet suit or dry suit) for the capsize and recovery portion of the course - during which they will be going into the water repeatedly.  

Minors younger than 15 must be accompanied by an adult. (Minimum age: 12.) Signed liability waivers are required for all participants and minors also require Parental Consent Waivers.

NB: Certification is not granted for completion of the clinic only.

Cost: $260

(2-day boat & gear rental: $100)

 *Class 1 Waters = non-challenging, protected waters with limited wind effect, little or no current, easy landings and ready access to land-based assistance. Cost: $260
